ELIZABETH "LIZA" (BEVIVINO) CAVEDINE

Elizabeth “Liza” (Bevivino) Cavedine, 98, of Solvay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11th at The Cottages, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Solvay, Liza was born to the late John and Maria (Mossotti) Bevivino and was a proud graduate of Solvay High School. She began her career as Secretary to the President of Syracuse China and later worked at Allied Chemical. She also devoted many years to the family business, Cavedine Sales & Service, working alongside her husband, Joseph. Liza was an active member of the Tyrol Club Ladies Auxiliary. She also participated in the Solvay Home Bureau and the Geddes Senior Citizens. A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated communicant of St. Marianne Cope Parish (formerly St. Cecilia’s Church) and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Liza enjoyed an active and social life. An avid golfer, she was a member of Westvale Country Club, where she treasured the time spent with her many friends. In retirement, she embraced winters in Venice, Florida, as well as traveling, trips to the casino, and happy hours shared with those she loved. Affectionately known as “Mimi,” Liza cherished her family above all else. No matter the occasion, big or small, she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Cavedine; and sisters, Carlotta Bevivino and Alice (Bevivino) Capozza. Liza is survived by her children, Donna (Marty) Martin, of Camillus, Joanne Cavedine, of Columbus, OH, Lynn (Doug) Fedrizzi, of Solvay, Stephan (Laurie) Cavedine, of Camillus, and Joseph (Shannon) Cavedine, of Baldwinsville; 14 beloved grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Capozza; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 9:45 AM Thursday December 18, 2025 at St. Marianne Cope Parish – St. Cecilia Church with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Liza will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
