MARY (CASTRILLI) OSBORNE

Mary Josephine Osborne, 86, of Solvay, began her eternal rest in the arms of the Lord on Thursday April 21, 2022. Born at St. Joseph’s Hospital and raised in Syracuse, Mary was a graduate of North High, then employed at her birth hospital as a medical transcriptionist. As an active community member, Mary served at St. Marianne Cope Parish St. Cecilia’s Church where she participated as a eucharistic minister, elector, & passionate member of the choir. She was a member of the Alter Rosary, the Association of Missionary Franciscan Sisters, Solvay & Geddes Seniors, as well as Ecumenical Choir for 20+ years. Mary is predeceased by her mother Concetta Castrilli (Visalli), father Anthony Castrilli, and beloved brother Tony Castrilli. She is survived by her son, Joseph Osborne, daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Tarr, of FL, Deborah (Jeffery) Rear, of PA, Diana Osborne and stepdaughter Cathy Lopez, of Syracuse; sister, Anna Stefanco (Castrilli), brother, Joseph (Michele) Castrilli; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Kyle, Justin, Tyler, Karinna, Nicole, & Richard; 13 beloved great grandbabies & many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Mary was honored in her life and in her death, she will be missed forever. Her family would like her to be remembered as the compassionate, selfless, loving soul she carried until her very last breath. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Thursday, April 28th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Friday April 29th at St. Marianne Cope Parish – St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd, Solvay. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
