MARY R. (GRECO) LIZZI

Mary Rose (Greco) Lizzi, 95, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Solvay to the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Augello) Greco in 1922. She was employed as a cafeteria worker for over 22 years by the Syracuse City School District. She was a longtime communicant of St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and past member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Michael Lizzi, 2 sisters, Patricia D’Onofrio and Virginia Greco, and 2 brothers, James and Angelo Greco. She is survived by her daughter; Rosemary (Terry) Walden, of Camillus, son; Michael (Lynn) Lizzi, of Brewerton, 5 grandchildren; Michael (Andrea) Lizzi, John (Natalie) Lizzi, Christopher (Chanele) Lizzi, Brian (Jennifer) Walden and Lisa (Steve) Haller, great-grandchildren; Antonio, Lucy, Lizzi, Tessa, Amelia and soon to be Baby Haller, 2 sisters; Loretta Alia and Rose Marie Cardoso, 2 sisters-in-law; Theresa Bandoblu and Rosemary (Louis) Letizia, brother-in-law; David Lizzi, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 9:15 am Thursday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 am at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer St, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, DeWitt.
