Mary (Femano) Julian, 95, of Solvay, passed away peacefully at home Friday April 23rd. She was born in Syracuse to the late Rocco and Clementina (Ludovici) Femano in 1925. Mary lived for her family. She worked hard all her life, first at Pass and Seymour, then at Ellies Fish Market. Eventually she was the cook at her family’s restaurant and was recognized by the newspaper as their “Cook of the Week”. Above all, mom was an angel on earth. Our hearts are broken, but we will see you soon. She was a longtime communicant of St. Marianne Cope Parish-St. Cecilia Church in Solvay. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, sisters, Rose Skilton and Laura Femano and brothers, Robert, Rocco, Andrew, Lewis and Joseph. Mary is survived by her sons, David (Barbara), of Winter Haven, Florida and Gerald, of Solvay; 2 granddaughters, Jamie (Mike) Parkhurst, of Solvay and Monique Julian, of Minnesota; 2 brothers, Thomas (Mary Anne), of Solvay whom Mary loved so much, also, Gerald (Michelle), of Solvay; 3 sisters-in-law, Marguerite Fumano, Carolyn and Jeanette Femano, all of Solvay and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am-9:30 am Thursday April 29, 2021 at St. Marianne Cope Parish–St. Cecilia Church with A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated immediately following at 9:30 am. Private burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
