MARY JANE (DeSTEFANO) FORTINO

Mary Jane (DeStefano) Fortino, 81, of Solvay, passed away Sunday at Loretto. She was born in Syracuse to the late John and Filamena “Fay” (Bruno) DeStefano and graduated from Solvay High School. Mary Jane retired after a 50 year career in the banking industries. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Cecilia Church. Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Richard Fortino, in 2013. She is survived by 2 sons; Richard, Jr., of Gainesville, FL and Michael, of Solvay, a daughter; Jaime, of Syracuse, grandchildren; Corey Fortino, Vannessa (Joe) Mallinger and Joseph Fortino, great-grandson; Michael Mallinger, all from Solvay, sister; Joanne DeStefano, of Solvay, brother-in-law; Alfonso Fortino, Jr, of Utica and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mary Jane’s family wishes to thank the 7th Floor Staff at Loretto-Cunningham for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held 8:45 am Thursday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
