MARGARET (CRUPI) TERZINI

Margaret (Crupi) Terzini, 98, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born in Watertown, NY to Antonino and Maria Crupi. In addition to her devoted parents, she was one of eight loving and caring brothers and sisters. Margaret graduated from Watertown High School in 1942. She married Amelio “Chops” Terzini in 1943 and moved to Syracuse, NY. Margaret was a devoted mother to two daughters, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and baker. She loved gathering with her family for Sunday dinners and holidays. Margaret was fiercely devoted to her family and was deeply religious. She was an extremely kind, caring and generous person. Margaret loved to follow SU men’s basketball. She would be sure to ask when games were televised so as not to miss a home or away game. She even attended a few as well. Her working career included positions at Syracuse China, Continental Can Company and Bristol Laboratories. Her most loving work transition was to be a child care giver for many years to several families in the area; many of whom became a part of her extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was pre-deceased by her sister, Grace Haley, and brothers, Anthony, Phillip, Joseph and Antonio Crupi; son-in-law, Fred Allen; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and her very best friend, Fran Cafferelli. Margaret is survived by her loving children; Regina Allen, of Morenci, MI and Barbara Fernandez and son-in-law, Greg, of Syracuse; she was “Nana” or “Nana Marge” to her adoring 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Jenny Liberatore and brother, Pat Crupi, of Watertown, NY and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 4:00–7:00 pm Thursday, January 13th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM Friday January 14th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 AM at St. Daniel’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. The family would like to extend a grateful thank you to Dr. Christopher Nardone, Dr. Elizabeth McNany, Dr. Judith Setla and Melissa S., RN at Hospice of Central NY, Ann Marie, Deb, Connie and Paula for their kind and compassionate care. Also extending gratitude to the wonderful friendships she embraced over the years-particularly Betty and Josephine. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Margaret may be made to St. Daniel’s Church or Hospice of Central NY. Please say a prayer or the rosary for Margaret when a memory of her puts a smile on your face.
