JULIA (DePIETRO) ALBRIGO
December 4, 1922 - March 2, 2022
Julia D. Albrigo, 99, for many years a resident of Geddes on Copleigh Drive, Syracuse, NY and more recently, Alexandria, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at INOVA Alexandria Hospital after a sudden and short illness. Julia was born in Syracuse to the late Louis and Ciarangela (LaPenna) DePietro. Julia was the fourth of seven siblings. She graduated from East Syracuse High School and later worked as a secretary at General Electric for several years, then as an Executive Secretary at General Super Plating in DeWitt for 25 years until her retirement. Julia was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Camillus and prior to that St. Mathews in East Syracuse. Julia was a member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary and the Tyrol Club Auxiliary. She volunteered at both St. Camillus Rehabilitation Center and Loretto. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Frank Angelo Albrigo in 2013 and all of her siblings. She is survived by her son, John Louis Albrigo, MD (Eileen Goddard-Albrigo), of Arlington, VA, 3 grandchildren: Todd (Carrie) Albrigo, of Bristow VA, Kevin (Molly) Albrigo, of Leesburg, VA and Elizabeth (Christopher) Roth, of Ashburn, VA, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 pm on Friday, March 11th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 9:00 AM Saturday March 12th at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr, Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
