Jay Lu, 15, of Manlius, NY, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022. Jay was born in State College, Pennsylvania on May 26, 2006. He was a sophomore at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. Jay liked playing video games, building Science Olympiad projects, swimming, playing Lego and violin, and watching Star Wars and Marvel movies. He enjoyed spicy food, steak and McDonald sandwiches. Jay and German Shepherd Sia were the best buddies at home. Jay is survived by his parents, Lu Xiao and Dianhong “Daniel” Lu, and his two younger sisters, Iris & Selina Lu. Hundreds of Jay’s friends, classmates, schoolmates, teachers and more organized a vigil night on March 29 and many of them shared their memories about Jay. Those precious memories told everyone that Jay had a beautiful and kind soul that had touched so many people’s lives and brought positive impacts to them.
