JANET (GARGARO) BORELL

February 25, 1944 - April 24, 2022

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Janet Ann (Gargaro) Borell from Syracuse, NY on Sunday, April 24th 2022. Predeceased by her father, Joseph Gargaro, mother, Mary Eileen Gargaro (Valerino), brothers, Jack F. Gargaro, Joseph Gargaro Jr, sisters, Joette DeJohn, and Doreen Matrone. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles Anthony Borell, her daughters, Maria Borell, Kimberly Dobraski and Michelle Dobraski, all of Syracuse and Mellissa Dobraski, of Atlanta, GA; brother, Mark Buccina, grandchildren, Jasmine Clarke, Brandon Dobraski, Pela Hammock; great grandchildren Michael Reese, her dear friend Judy Mueller; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janet was born and grew up in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Vocational High School, worked at the Syracuse airport office, and retired from Flah’s/B. Forman Company in Dewitt. Janet’s world revolved around her family and loved ones. Her heart was full of kindness and love, there was nothing she wouldn’t do to help her children and grandchildren. She loved painting, reading, gardening, antiques, the Yankees, the Beatles and the ocean. Her smile was larger than life, her eyes full of love and fire; she could always make you laugh. She saw the world in a different light, a conversation with her was never boring. She was not cut from the same cloth as the rest of us. Truly a selfless, kind hearted woman, and the world will never be the same. “You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would’ve died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.” Author Unknown. Family and friends may call from 8 AM – 9 AM Monday May 2nd at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 9:15 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday May 2nd at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr, Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
