ELIZABETH (VOROS) KATERELOS

April 21, 1932 - February 21, 2022

Elizabeth (Voros) Katerelos, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Monday February 21st at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Greece to the late Haralabos and Anastasia (Delaporta) Voros in 1932 before immigrating to Syracuse. She worked as a cafeteria aid for the Syracuse City School District for more than 27 years before retiring in 1994. She was a longtime communicant of St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church and member of its Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed watching SU Basketball with her cousin Corinne Cannellos and playing Bingo with her many friends over the years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anastasia and Greg Campagnone, of Lakeland, her two grandchildren, Michael, of Liverpool and Arianna (Anthony) Stirpe, of E. Syracuse, her sister-in-law, Coula Voros, of Syracuse and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were privately held at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church. Private burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd, Syracuse, NY 13224, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or CNY-SPCA, 5878 E.
