January 21, 1968 - January 4, 2022
Christine “Cee Cee” Andrew (Combs), went to be with God on Tuesday, January 4th. She collapsed at work doing what she loved best, taking care of “her little critters” at the CNYSPCA. Born and raised in East Syracuse, Cee Cee graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School (‘86) and was inducted into the ES-M Hall of Fame as part of their 1983 Varsity Soccer team’s success. She also played volleyball and ran track. Cee Cee and her friends had a large impact on the school, staff, and each other’s lives. Cee Cee wore many hats in her life: owner of C2 Photography, the Solvay Bearcats’ Athletic, School, and Community Photographer, and a Thirty-One consultant just to name a few. After volunteering at the CNYSPCA for 7 years, she joined the staff one year ago. Long known as the “bunny lady”, there was not an animal that she didn’t love (unless it was a snake!) and they loved her back. She also volunteered for the Syracuse Challenger Baseball program. Cee Cee is survived by her husband of 22 years, Michael, her father, Charles Combs (Lisa Holt), of East Syracuse, her brother, Chuck Combs, Jr (Marylou), of Liverpool, aunt, Sue Stubbs, of Cayuga, cousins, Karen (Don) Dorr, of Columbus, OH, Rick Latimer, of Dayton, OH, and Lee Stubbs-Konidaris (Michael), of Baldwinsville and many extended family. She is now reunited in heaven with her mother, Theresa “Terri”. She also leaves behind eight Godchildren who will miss her dearly. Cee Cee had a heart of gold. She touched the lives of so many through her immense involvement in the community and commitment to volunteering. She always made her family proud with her contributions and successes. When she showed up to an event, husband Mike almost always at her side, she would look for ways to contribute and assist. She was passionate about all things sports, especially her beloved Bearcats, and could be found on the sidelines of any sporting event. And, despite harassment, she had the audacity to be a diehard fan of the Red Sox, as well as a steadfast Cowboys fan. More than all else, she loved being a wife, daughter, sister, cousin, godmother, bunny mama, and friend. If you were lucky enough to be in her orbit, you cherished your time with her, knowing she was family. While you often had to look behind the camera lens to see her whole face, she was always there with a smile, Swedish Fish, and Pepsi at the ready. She has been an inspiration and source of encouragement, support, and guidance for an entire generation of students. She loved volunteering her time to anything that would support her Solvay Bearcats. She will be greatly missed, leaving so many of us with her captured memories and a big Cee Cee shaped hole in our lives. Calling hours will be held at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave. in Solvay on Monday, January 10th from 4 to 7 pm. A small private family service will be held on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to one of Cee Cee’s passions: Syracuse Challenger’s Baseball, CNY SPCA, or Solvay Music Boosters. Please share online memories and tributes at www.bagozzitwins.com.
