MARY JANE (RAZZANO) DOLENGO

Mary Jane (Razzano) Dolengo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully on September 7th, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of her family. Born January 20, 1943, in Syracuse, NY, Mary Jane lived a life defined by kindness, gentleness, devotion, and an extraordinary love for her family. She had a sweet and caring nature, a beautiful smile, and a gentle voice that those who loved her will never forget. For more than six decades, she shared her life with her husband, Fred, building a family and a lifetime of memories together. Above all else, Mary Jane treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons Frederick, Joseph, and William, and she welcomed her daughters-in-law Kathleen, Dalila, and Sarah into her heart, loving them as daughters of her own. She adored her grandson, Juliano, and cherished her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and many friends. Mary Jane found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful things: gardening and her flowers, preparing and serving countless meals for her family, dancing, music, and her home. She attended school at Solvay and worked at Pass & Seymour. Mary Jane also carried in her heart the memory of her baby boy, whom she and Fred lovingly remembered as “Baby Boy Dolengo.” She now joins those she loved who went before her, including her parents, Cosamina (DeMarco) and Joseph; her in-laws, Joseph and Bridget; her sister Shirley; her brothers-in-law Ted and Dick; her nephew Joe; and her precious baby boy. She leaves behind her husband, Fred; her sisters, Nancy and Cetta; her sons, Frederick, Joseph, and William; her daughters-in-law, Kathleen, Dalila, and Sarah; her grandson, Juliano; her niece and nephew, Annette and Don; her great-nieces and great-nephews; and the many family members and friends whose lives were made better by knowing her. Mary Jane’s Catholic faith was an important part of her life and her family takes comfort in the promise that death is not the end, and that she has been welcomed into eternal life and reunited with those she loved and missed for so many years. Perhaps no words better reflect the gentle way Mary Jane lived her life than those of Christ in the Beatitudes: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 and as her earthly life comes to its close, her family finds comfort in the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant….enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:23 The measure of Mary Jane’s life cannot be found simply in the number of years she lived, but in the love she gave during those years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM Monday, September 14, 2026 at St. Marianne Cope Parish-Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St, Lakeland.
