JANICE (TAROLLI) KORZYP

Janice (Tarolli) Korzyp, 88, of Solvay, NY, passed away peacefully at home December 13, 2024. She was born in Syracuse to the late Primo and Irene “Mary” (Martinelli) Tarolli on April 8, 1936. She worked at Carrier Engineering Library, Edward Joy Electric and Universal Joint before retiring. Janice was a longtime communicant of St. Marianne Cope Parish–St. Cecilia Church and a longtime member and past Treasurer of the Tyrol Club of Solvay Auxiliary and Solvay Fire Department’s former Tanner Hose Station 3 Auxiliary. Janice was very proud of her Tyrolean heritage and enjoyed preparing our traditional Tyrolean foods. She also embraced her husband’s Polish heritage and made traditional Polish foods. She loved dancing and could often be seen attending Polka Dances all over NY State, as well as, at Bridge Street Tavern in Solvay, which was family owned at the time. She was a part of the Red & White Club that met at Bridge Street Tavern and celebrated those Polish traditions that she held dear. Most of all, Janice was a beautiful person known for her sweet nature and love of and care for family and friends and she will be tremendously missed by all. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Richard “Dick” Korzyp; son, Richard J. Korzyp; brother, Rudy Tarolli and companion, Art Kott. Janice is survived by her daughters, Susan (Walt) Armstrong, of Solvay and Sherry (Rob) Rabozzi, of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Gaffney, Amy Ranger, Heidi Armstrong-Merle, Christine Armstrong, Aaron Rabozzi and Melanie Saydem; 5 great grandchildren, Damien, Jason, Zoey, Zachary and Mateo; sister, Elaine (Tom) Moore; brothers, Rigo and Donald Tarolli and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday December 19, 2024 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her 9:30 AM Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Marianne Cope Parish-St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Road, Solvay. The Rite of Committal will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Paulette, Joanne, Melody and Desiree.
