CHARLES A. Del PRATO

It is with great sadness we share with you that on Friday, April 14th, 2023, Charles A. Del Prato, 66, of Syracuse, New York was called home to his heavenly father. "Chuck" was born on July 22, 1956, in Syracuse, New York to Alfred D. Del Prato and the late Dorothy (Haney) Del Prato. He was a graduate of Solvay High School, attended Onondaga Community College and was employed by the Carrier Corporation for over thirty years. Undoubtedly, he was an avid sports enthusiast and never missed a New York Giants game or his New York Yankees baseball. More importantly, Chuck was a devoted and faithful family man who was always there to offer his strength, support, and encouragement to those he loved. Furthermore, although he faced a lifetime of medical and health challenges, his courage, drive, determination, and willpower to overcome these obstacles and remain with his family is the admirable legacy he leaves behind. His steadfast courage and mental fortitude will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. It was a tremendous honor to call him husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. May you rest in perfect peace knowing the depth of all of our love for you and the gratitude we all have for the incredible role you played in each of our lives. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen (Salvetti) Del Prato, his son, Seth, his daughter, Jessica, and his precious grandson, Elijah and granddaughter, Aliyah, and his father, Alfred D. Del Prato, of Solvay. He is also survived by his brothers, James (Maria) Del Prato, of Syracuse, Alfred (Merlyn) Del Prato, of Melbourne, Florida, and sisters, Ellen Neill, of Apopka, Florida, Joan (Jim) Kloiber, of Syracuse, and Joyce (Buzz) Ariglio, of Clay, as well as many treasured nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, April 21st at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Saturday April 22nd at St. Marianne Cope Parish-St. Cecilia Church, Solvay.
