CATHERINE F. BALDUZZI

Catherine Frances Balduzzi, 78, of Solvay, NY, passed away on September 9, 2023. Catherine was born in Syracuse, NY on November 5, 1944 as the daughter of the late John F. and Lucille (Wolff) Frazier. Catherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Catherine, known as “Kitty” by her family and friends, worked at National Grange insurance for a short time and then spent over 40 years at B.G. Sulzle as a head final inspector of needles for surgeries. She loved reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. When her children were young, she took pride in watching them compete in various sports and activities through school, 4-H, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Kitty most definitely loved animals, especially dogs. She spent many volunteer hours assisting at Helping Hounds Dog Rescue where she walked the dogs, cleaned cages, did laundry, helped feed them, and then eventually adopted two dogs, Molly and Sandy. She was a member of the Solvay Tyrol Club and the Solvay Seniors group where she participated in or led many activities over the years. Kitty will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her husband of 56 years, Edward, her daughter, Renee (William) Wike, her two sons, Edward John (Carolyn) and John Francis (Jessica), her sisters Brenda (JoAnn Lopercio) Frazier and Laurie (Cecil) Frazier Weller, her grandchildren Elizabeth Wike, Lyla Balduzzi and Gianna, Gabriella and Jonathan Balduzzi, her sister-in-law, Jean Balduzzi and her brother-in-law, Ronald (Roxanne) Balduzzi, numerous nieces and nephews, especially Morgan and Mackenzie Frazier and Carl Weller. Kitty will be remembered for her fierce dedication to family and friends. She was always there to support, care for, and love her family and friends no matter what the circumstance. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and dedication to inspire those who knew her. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Thursday, September 14, 2023 at St. Marianne Cope Parish-St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd, Solvay. She will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. The family would like to thank the many doctors throughout the years and the staff at St. Camillus for everything they did during Kitty’s short stay there.
