ARLENE M. (KURAK) BIGLIARDI

Arlene M. Bigliardi, 101, of Warners, passed away Friday September 23rd at SUNY University Hospital, Syracuse. Arlene was matriarch of her family and was loved beyond words. Arlene retired from General Motors where she worked for 37 years. She was a member of Local 854 UAW Retireees, Executive Board and installed in Retirees Hall of Fame. She is a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Lakeland, the Altar and Rosary Society, Lazarus Committee and a Eucharistic Minister. Arlene was an avid gardener and will be remembered for preserving home grown fruits and vegetables, bringing a touch of summer to the long winters. Her family and faith were the driving force though out her life. All of her family was clearly the pride and joy of her life. She had a unique ability to make her family feel safe, protected, loved, nurtured, supported and very special. Her extreme love and devotion to them was comparable only by the love she had for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her loving generosity will be a lasting memory to all she touched. Arlene is predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Berry, second husband, Anthony F. Bigliardi, sisters, Helen Kohut, Anna Schultz and Mary Lou Graber, brothers, George, John and Michael Kurak, grandson, Daniel Berry. Arlene belatedly convey’s her eternal love and gratitude to her children, family, relatives, friends and neighbors. Arlene is survived by 3 sons, James (Marge) Berry, of Michigan, Raymond Bigliardi , of Warners, Peter (Lynn) Bigliardi, of Red Creek, 1 daughter, Diana Capsello, of North Syracuse, 6 grandchildren, David (Beverly) Berry, Kristin Price, Brian (Michele) Capsello, Scott (Amy) Capsello, Gregory (Nicole) Capsello and Melissa (James) Delamater, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday September 29, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Augustine Church in Baldwinsville. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Warners.
