We are deeply saddened to share the loss of Andrew A. Sitar, Jr., age 72, who passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on July 15, 2026, leaving behind beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of the Sitar family. Andy was born and raised in Massachusetts, spent his high school years in South Jersey before moving to Long Island and ultimately settled in Syracuse, New York. Over the years Andy really enjoyed a life involving competition. From his high school days of wrestling and football, through his years in softball leagues, bowling leagues and playing in numerous golf leagues and tournaments throughout New York, New Jersey and Florida. He also loved spending time on the water both on Skaneateles Lake and while being a snowbird in Ft. Myers, Florida. Anyone who knew Andy knew there was always a song in his heart. He loved music and really enjoyed spreading that love through his playlists and performing every chance he got. Andy was a warehouse manager with Penn Traffic for 20+ years. He then shifted his career over to transportation companies. In this role he loved meeting, greeting and building friendships with the people who joined him on his adventures along the east coast. Andy’s love for entertaining people was truly highlighted during his years in this position. Andy was a devoted husband, father, Papa, family man and friend. He shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sandy (Mastroleo), building a life centered on love, commitment, and family. His greatest pride and joy were the relationships he shared with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his daughter, Nicole and sons, Andrew (Lana), John (Falishia) and Mike (Colleen) Mastroleo. He was a devoted and caring Papa who treasured every moment with his grandchildren: Dominick, Drew, Dylan, Adaline and Austin. Andy is also survived by his sister, Charmaine (Paul) McGuigan and his brother Wayne (Jean) Sitar as well as many nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Lorraine (Gervais) Sitar and his sister, Kim Bennett. Andy’s memory will also be cherished by his extended family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support throughout his lifetime. Andy will be remembered for his warm heart, strong character, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He valued time spent with loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Though his passing was sudden, the legacy of love and dedication he leaves behind will continue to inspire those who knew him. The family will receive friends and loved ones for calling hours on Monday, July 27, 2026, between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue, Solvay, NY 13209.
