THERESA (GEISS) TAROLLI

Theresa (Geiss) Tarolli, 95, passed away peacefully at a New Bern, NC hospital. She was born in Syracuse, NY on May 31, 1925 to the late Samuel and Concetta (Feola) Geiss. Theresa was a lifelong resident of Lakeland. She worked many years as a cashier for Solvay Big M. She was a communicant of St. Marianne Cope Parish-Our Lady of Peace Church in Lakeland. Theresa was a member of the Alter Rosary Society, Tyrol Club of Solvay Ladies Auxiliary, Lakeland Seniors, Leisurettes Club and past member of the Couples Club of Solvay, where she enjoyed taking many trips with her husband, Fred by her side. She will be most remembered for her loving heart. Theresa enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and cooking, baking for family and friends. Her banana bread was an all-time favorite of many. She had a faithful connection to her church, where she often volunteered her services. Theresa left room in her active life for another joy, which spanned decades. She absolutely loved Bingo. In April of 2017, Theresa moved to The Courtyards, a senior living community, in New Bern, NC. Her love of playing Bingo continued in her new surroundings. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Frederick E. Tarolli in 2003. Theresa is survived by her sister-in-law, Gloria (Francescotti) Geiss, of Florida and brother-in-law, Albert Francescotti, of Solvay, her children, Frederick F. Tarolli (Sharon), of Ocala, FL, Karen Seeley (Ken Brigden), of Lexington, SC, Kathleen Hallquist (Jeff), of New Bern, NC, and Edward Tarolli, of Oakland, CA. Grandchildren, Tia Seeley, Kaleena Seeley, Craig Hallquist, Jesse Brigden, James Brigden, and Ronald Coyne and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at The Courtyards for the wonderful care they gave to our mother, who they lovingly nicknamed “The Queen”. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Friday April 23, 2021 at St. Marianne Cope Parish–Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St, Syracuse, NY 13209. Private interment will follow in Belle Isle Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Marianne Cope Parish-Our Lady of Peace Church, c/o 105 Stanton Ave, Solvay, NY 13209.
